EcoTec Homes are an innovative line of affordable, sustainable, quality built by Westco Construction Ltd. of Victoria, BC. Their website design reflects the company’s environmentally friendly philosophy – using earth tones and a clean, functional layout. In the background, the website is run by our Pyramid Content Management System, which allows the client to easily update their content.

A dynamic organization for business leaders in the Greater Victoria area, the CCEA needed an updated site to better represent their members, and help them manage meetings and events. The site features events calendars, member spotlights, leads tracking and a lot more. The whole site is run on our Pyramid Content Management System, allowing for easy management of members and resources, tracking of leads, distribution of emails to specific groups within the CCEA, as well as management of all the content throughout the site.

Ron’s previous site was beginning to show its age. Both in terms of front end usability, and time required to maintain the site behind the scenes. Working with a supplied design we integrated the new site into our Pyramid Content Management System making it far easier to maintain. At the same time we created a mobile theme for the site, optimizing it for display on handheld devices.

Hiking Trails Books Mobile

Hiking Trails Books now has a mobile-friendly home page. Mobile users are greeted with a page that displays at the width of their mobile device and offers large click-areas, a simple navigation menu and content that is organized so that it is easily read on a hand-held device. Hiking Trails Books opted for only a mobile-friendly home page and while we recommend that the entire website be mobile-friendly, it is a great place to start. Visit their mobile home page.

Brett Jones, a Victoria BC REALTOR® with Newport Realty re-designed his website last year, but wanted to reach another segment of the internet population: mobile users. Visitors to Brett’s website that access his website using a mobile device (such as an iPhone, Blackberry or Android phone) will now see a mobile-friendly version of his website.

Mobile websites are becoming more important than ever as over 77 percent of the world population owns a mobile device. The use of mobile devices to view websites is on the rise and we believe a mobile-friendly version is essential for all websites!

CFIB Red Tape Awareness: Last week the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) held their annual Red Tape Awareness Week 2012 to get governments to recognize that red tape is a burden that hurts small businesses.
